Claire studied composition at the Berklee College of Music with Tony Texiera, Alex Ulanowski, Bob Chestnut and Alex Ellin, among others.

She has co-written 3 tunes on her most recent releases ("Scaribari", "Blue Rilke" and "Tree Mend Us") and is currently writing a suite of music based on the life of her second cousin - Mary Joyce - the first non-Alaskan to trek from Juneau to Fairbanks by dogsled in 1936. A fascinating story of American History featuring a remarkable and unconventional woman. This piece will take the form of a multi-media presentation.

Daly's lyrical sensibility plays a large part in her writing. Her melodies are durable and are often combined with unconventional harmonies. From the most melodic beauty to raging modernism, Daly's writing covers the waterfront of style.

Her recent collaborations with human beat box Napoleon Maddox and bassist Joe Fonda blur the boundaries of Hip Hop and Jazz music.
